Data deletion
Last updated 27 October 2026
How to have Lightyear delete your data. Each way below deletes the data for good. We cannot restore it.
If you connected Meta (Facebook)
- Open your Facebook Settings, Apps and Websites.
- Find Lightyear and choose Remove.
- Choose View removed apps and websites, then View next to Lightyear, then Send request. Meta tells us, and we delete the ad data and the access token we hold for your Facebook user.
Or disconnect Meta on the Integrations page in Lightyear, or email [Privacy contact email] with the subject “Delete my Meta data” and the email or Facebook name you used. We delete it within [30] days and email you when it is done.
If you connected Google
- Open your Google Account permissions page.
- Find Lightyear and choose Remove access.
- Email [Privacy contact email], or disconnect Google in Lightyear. We delete the Google Ads and Google Analytics data we read, and the access token.
If you connected Klaviyo
Disconnect Klaviyo on the Integrations page in Lightyear. We delete the key and every Klaviyo record we read for that store at once.
If you installed the Shopify app
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings, then Apps, and uninstall Lightyear.
- 48 hours later Shopify sends us a deletion request for your store. We then delete every record of your store: pages, products, orders, shopper visits, tests, and the data from connected accounts.
If you are a shopper on a store that uses Lightyear
Ask the store to delete your data. When the store sends the request through Shopify, we delete your orders and the visits linked to them. You can also email [Privacy contact email] with the store's address and the email you ordered with. We will pass the request to the store and act on it.
Anything else
To delete your Lightyear sign-in account, an access request, or any other data, email [Privacy contact email]. We answer within 30 days. The privacy policy lists everything we hold.
